How to improve female reproductive health

Infertility is an issue in many married couples. Usually, there are a lot of factors which contribute to infertility. It can be weight gain, improper food habits or too much stress. People usually don’t think too much about their fertility until they start planning for a baby. This can be a very stressful and frustrating time if you and your partner aren’t successful. The important thing to remember is to be patient and keep trying. There are many different ways to improve your fertility. You can go for natural methods which include altering your diet or going for medical treatments such as hormone therapies and more.

Here are some basic tips to improve the fertility chances in women:
Keep your body weight in check- If you are overweight this can reduce your chances of getting pregnant. Being underweight has a negative impact as well. If your menstruation is irregular, then this is the first sign. Fat cells are linked to the production of estrogen and if there is too much or too less this can cause an imbalance of hormones. Losing even 4-5 kgs can make a huge difference and it can improve your reproductive health.
Take care of stress- When you are trying to get pregnant, it can take a toll on your stress and anxiety.  However, at this time it is important to keep your stress under control. Stress can greatly affect your menstrual cycle and this can have an adverse effect on your fertility.  You can manage stress by working out, going for massages or performing yoga and meditation. Also, try managing your stress levels.
Stop smoking- According to research, women who smoke have a higher risk of infertility and take much longer to get pregnant as compared to those who don’t. Smoking can cause miscarriages and complications during pregnancy. Smoking marijuana as well can cause low birth weight and fetal problems
Top upon the vitamins- Your diet should include plenty of vitamins and minerals at this stage. Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and iron is important for proper ovulation and balance of hormones. You can go for prenatal vitamins as well after consulting your doctor and having a checkup done.
Make sure the time is right- Keep track of your fertile days and days when there are low chances of getting pregnant. Stay patient and continue trying during your fertile days.
Although there are plenty of things that you can do to improve your reproductive health, you should consider trying these methods to help bring about changes. Consistency is key. So although, this may take a while it is important to stay patient because it is natural. Try your best to conceive on fertile days and you can visit a doctor for help at any point in time.
